Oracle Fusion - LFI (CVE-2013-3827)

CVE-2013-3827 is a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability impacting Oracle Fusion. Attackers can leverage path traversal in specific resource-handling endpoints to read arbitrary files from the server.

CrowdSec has been tracking this vulnerability and its exploits since 27th of March 2025.

CrowdSec network data shows that most actors exploiting CVE-2013-3827 rely on broad, untargeted scans with minimal filtering. The activity is largely automated and opportunistic in nature. In addition, according to the CrowdSec network, attack volume against CVE-2013-3827 has dipped slightly compared to the previous week. Although still commonly targeted, the decline suggests a cooling-off period. Long-term relevance remains, but attention is waning.

Observed attack attempts focus on URLs containing /javax.faces.resource and making use of traversal patterns within certain parameters.
